The use of biometric technology significantly increases security level of systems because it eliminates such problems as lost, stolen or loaned ID cards, and forgotten or guessed PINs. The prox systems allow fobs to be dis-enrolled from the systems if they are discovered to be missing. Access control locks, there are many types of Electronic Lock. The most basic is a magnetic lock (commonly called a mag lock). A large electro-magnet is mounted on the door frame and a corresponding armature is mounted on the door. Mag locks are simple to install and are very attack resistant. Electric strikes can be simple to install when they are designed for drop-in replacement of a standard strike.
