Union L2341 Mortice Nightlatch

Union Locks, Union L2349 Mortice Dead Locking Oval Profile Door Latch, allows access from the front side of the door using a key and Oval Profile Cylinder. The cylinder can be expanded to have an Oval Profile Turn on the inside; by turning the turn allows egress without the need of a key. The lock has also an 8 mm follower that would allow you to have fitted a lever handle on the inside to make opening the door on the inside a lot easier. A special hex key is supplied with the lock that on the face plate there is a position that allows you to hold back the latch for free access. Above the main latch you will see a black snip this gets depressed when the door is closed and dead locks the main Latch

Operation

Latchbolt is withdrawn by single oval profile cylinder from outside and lever handle inside. Door is automatically deadlocked when closed. Latch can be held in withdrawn position by operating a snib in the forend, with special key supplied . Can also be operated by key from either side using double cylinder.

Additional Info

Standard cylinder length is suitable for doors up to 48mm thick. For doors in excess of this thickness, order correct cylinder length accordingly. Latchbolt is easily reversed without opening the lockcase.
