We've revamped our dorgard products adding the Dorgard Deafgard, Part III of the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) became mandatory on 1 October 2004, and states that service providers such as hoteliers and suppliers of sleeping accommodation are legally obliged to make provision for the disabled, including deaf and hard of hearing people. In the event of fire a deaf or hard of hearing person will not be able to hear the fire alarm, especially when they are asleep in hotels, sheltered housing, homes, etc. This is a high risk, life threatening situation. There is a safe, legal solution that offers the simplest and most cost-effective way of legally communicating the sounding of a fire alarm to deaf and hard of hearing people in hotel rooms and other residential premises.
The Dorgard is suitable for normal environments, e.g. offices, care homes and hotels that have an automatic fire detection system installed. The Dorgard X incorporates the very latest radio technology making it suitable for very noisy environments, e.g. bars, restaurants and public areas that have an automatic fire detection system installed. The Dorgard Sentry System This system incorporates Dorgard technology with easy-to-fit, wire-free smoke detectors. Ideal for offices, shops and schools that do not have an automatic fire detection system installed.
