The decision of whether the connection is by fire alarm relay, break glass unit or both is made by the fire officer.This will vary greatly from region to region. If a connection by fire alarm relay is to be made then this should be carried out by the fire alarm installation or maintenance company. Failure to do so could result in the access control installer being held responsible for any problems that occur on the whole system thereafter.
