Remove the inner door-handle retaining-screw and remove the plastic handle.
Now remove the 3 lock-mechanism retaining screws.
Lower the lock mechanism to gain access to the doorskin
Mark the door for drilling using the supplied template (recommended) or the plate itself.
With the drill-holes clearly marked, drill the holes with either a conical or 10mm drill-bit.
Apply touch-up paint to the drilled holes...
and Waxoyl (or similar agent) to the rear of the door skin.
Peel the protective paper from the gasket and secure the gasket to the back of the stainless steel plate.
Apply silicone to the base of the studs
Now pull on the door handle and insert the front plate into position.
Now fit the lower zinc-coated backplate
and place nyloc nuts on the studs loosely to hold it.

Then fit the larger, upper backplate,
attach the nyloc nuts and tighten all 4 nuts.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!
Now refit the lock mechanism and inner door handle.
Check the alignment of the plate by inserting the key and making sure that the door shuts, locks and unlocks easily.
Once you are happy that the plate is fitted correctly, replace the inner door panels, door pull and handles.
