Remove the lower door panel by turning the retaining clips anti-clockwise.

Now remove the window winder handle. |
Now you need to remove the door-pull cover. It simply peels off from the bottom.

With the door-pull cover detached, remove the two Torx Screws which secure the handle.
|
The upper panel can now be removed by pulling on the lower corners. This will release the trim from the retaining-clips. Work all the way around and then lift the panel up to detach.

| Now you need to remove the lock-release cable. |
| You are now ready to mark the holes in the door panel for drilling, using the stainless-steel front plate or the supplied drilling-template (recommended).
| 
|
| With the hole-centers marked with indelible pen, drill a 3mm pilot hole and recheck the position before finally re-drilling using a 10mm drill bit (or if you prefer, you can use the conical bit) |
After drilling the holes, you should then coat the edges with touch-up paint.

| After it dries (just a few minutes), you need to spray the inner-panel with Waxoyl or a similar agent to provide additional protection. |
Next step is to remove the door handle retaining screw as shown in the pic on the left, using your Torx-bit
| 
|
| With the screw removed, you can now detach the door handle by pushing it forward and then outwards as shown in the picture. |
Now you can fit the inner "zinc-coated" backplate, by offering it up inside the inner door panel as shown in the pictures. Make sure it is aligned with the holes which you drilled earlier.

| Before fitting the front stainless-steel plate, you need to remove the paper from the self-adhesive gasket and then stick the gasket to the back side of the plate ensuring the stud-holes line up and that the gasket runs into the fold (the part of the plate which wraps around the edge of the door).
Once you've fitted the gasket, apply a small amount of silicone sealant around the stud area

| To fit the front plate, you simply need to pull gently on the door handle (as if you were opening the door) and slide the plate over the edge of the door and over the fixed-part of the handle.

| With the front plate in position and the lock aligned correctly, you can fix the plate in place with the Nyloc Nuts supplied.
|
| Where access to the locking nuts is restricted, you can use the special tool provided. This handy little tool allows you to attach the nut to the threaded studs in otherwise inaccessible places. Once the nuts have been threaded onto the studs, tighten them up using your 10mm socket and ratchet
|

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!
These are self Locking nuts and will not come loose
Over tightening may cause damage
|
The final step in the installation of Armaplate is to make sure that the keyhole
is perfectly aligned. Since the locking nuts were not over-tightened, there is
still a small amount of adjustment available by gently tapping the edge of the
plate |
|
|
Looking squarely at the keyhole, make sure the lock-mechanism is in the center of the hole in the Armaplate. If it is not perfectly aligned, use a soft-faced mallet to gently move the plate to the correct position |
Finally, close the door, insert the door key and make sure that the door locks
and unlocks easily |
|
Once you are happy that the plate is fitted correctly, replace the inner door panels, door pull and window winder. |
