Remove outer part of rear door handle to reveal 2 Torx headed screws. Undo these and then remove the door pull assembly

Using the tack-remover, remove all the plastic trim clips. The trim will now pull away, allowing you to push the door-lock mechanism thru the trim aperture.

Now you need to mark the outer door-skin ready for drilling. Use either the supplied template (recommended) or the plate itself.

With the door clearly marked, commence drilling, using either a 10mm drill-bit or the conical hole-cutter...

...and then treat the holes with touch-up paint.

Before proceeding any further, treat the reverse side with Waxoyl or a similar agent.

Release the door handle by pushing it to toward the door hinges and then outwards as shown in the picture. This allows you to fit the zinc-coated backing plate into position.

With the door-handle released, you can now fit the zinc back-plate. Push it up into place and then push the door-handle back in fully to hold it.

Before fitting the front stainless-steel plate, you need to remove the paper from the self-adhesive gasket and then stick the gasket to the back side of the plate ensuring the stud-holes line up and that the gasket runs into the fold (the part of the plate which wraps around the edge of the door).

Once you've fitted the gasket, apply a small amount of silicone sealant around the stud areas as shown in the picture. Now fit the stainless steel front plate in the same way you fitted those on the front doors.

To gain access to the upper securing-nut, you will need to drill a hole in the rear of the door panel using your conical drill-bit. The location of this hole is not critical and can easily be judged.

Now fit the nyloc-nuts to the studs and tighten up. Do not over-tighten!

Now refit the end-screw in the front plate "tab".

Finally, close the door, insert the door key and make sure that the door locks and unlocks easily

Once you are happy that the plate is fitted correctly, replace the inner door panels, door pull and handle.
