These are not your typical emergency 'break glass' units, these are much better as they are fully resettable so can be triggered again and again without the need to replace cracked glass. The resetting process is very quick and easy too, simply pop the reset key into the reset hole on the under-side of the call point, and you will then be able to slide the bottom face down, releasing the push panel back into its original state, then simply clip the bottom face back up into place and it's ready for further use

These are becomming very popular as they remain active until reset, exactly the same as a standard break glass call unit, except there is no longer any need to replace glass - meaning less expense and less time spent swapping it out for the new glass panel.

Hi guys, my name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now we've put these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in hopefully a little bit more detail so it can help you make a bit better of an informed decision as to whether or not this is the particular product that you're looking for.

Today I want to show you an emergency release call point that we have on our website. Now this particular call point is actually a resettable one and I'll go through how it all works now in a second or two. What I wanted to try show you first of all is its termination connections here on the back. It's incredibly comprehensive in regards and it actually can work, it's like a double pole system. So you could actually have one set operating a buzzer or an alarm or something like that if you have to crash this call point and then maybe other one then is to release a mag. Normally if you're thinking of fitting a magnetic lock on a door, therefore then it requires power to energize, you would predominately fit one of these then at an elevation. So therefore then if there was any reason then why the keypad failed to work or anything like that, if there was a reason to go on and get out in an emergency, guys you can press this and it will then allow the magnet to fail and allow people to get out.

So ever specify an access control solution and you plan on using magnets, always price for one of these. It's well worth pricing it for the safety and security factor in that regards. One thing I wanted to explain here is, as you can see here, these terminals here allows you to have normally open and normally closed contacts depending on the way that the push button is and so forth. So 3 and 4 there, as you can see, is normally closed but when I actually crash the call point, that's then going to go normally open and one and two are going to go normally closed. That's the most common denomination in it. You can also see as well, that says here it's quite plastic, for indoors use only. So don't put it out in the weather or in that sort of environment. Now the way that this particular call point works is it allows you to crash it by pressing the black dot in the centre there but then it also allows you to reset it. I'm going to try and go through the reset procedure here to show customers because it is a question that is asked quite a few times. So if I was to press my hand on that, as you can see there, you now have this glow green bar that's appeared at the bottom and of course that's now triggered the call point. It is as simple as that. Therefore the magnet would be released now or the alarm may be sounding. Now to be able to go and reset it, it comes with this tool here and the idea is you pop this tool into the base unit like that and you push it in until it clicks and that allows you now to pull all of this apart like that. Once that's apart like that you can then pull this back out here like that, if I can just pop that out of here like that and now I can push that back up there into its position with a little bit of a forced click there and now I've reset the call point ready to be triggered again. So that's how it works. It's a lot easier when it's actually on the actual wall fixed as standard.

So that's the actual call point. It comes standard with a base as well, that allows you then to be able to fix that there onto the wall so to speak and therefore then display it then exactly as to the way that it's meant to be. So green is the universal colour for escape and so forth so that's the reason why it's green in its colour. It comes with two fixing screws as well. It comes also with installation instructions and a manual if you need to know a little bit more information.

So just to recap if you're thinking of access control, if you're thinking of putting a magnet in or you need the ability to emergency release a lock, maybe this is the product that you're looking for. But if you're need a bit more information on this or any other product that we have, pop us over an e-mail, use the live chat that we have or simply pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way we'd love to hear from you and more importantly we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So from me Darrel and all of at the team, thanks for taking the time to tune in. We hope to catch up with you real soon. Take care now, bye-bye.
