Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now, I've put these short little review videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in hopefully, a little bit more detail.
Today, I want to talk to you about a product that we have on our website. It's an armoured door loop. It's designed to get power from the frame, or from an axis control solution, to an electric lock, that may be fitted actually in the door. This is the door loop here. It's classified as an armoured door loop. Actually, I think it actually looks quite nice, even though it is designed for more robust versions. I'd be inspired to put this on under any circumstances, but of course, it is entirely up to you as to whether or not it will fit for your applications.
The idea would be is that would be fitted onto the frame, and maybe this part onto the door, and as the door opens and closes, you've got then this loop then that allows the power to go from one to the other. So that is the basic principle of it.
Now, inside, I don't know if you can zoom in there for us just a little bit, Jack, but as you can see there, it's got a quite a big opening in there. And if I was to get my gauge in there, just to give myself some sort of idea as to the size of that, you're looking at around about 8 millimetres, maybe slightly more (a bit restricted, because of getting the gauge in there.) But, you can get the feeder cable through there, a six core, or even an eight core, alarm type cable, no problem at all.
So, it comes with these fixing screws as well, so therefore, you would be able to screw this straight to the frame, and this one straight to the door. You would then have hole then that takes a cable to the actual lock itself. The overall length of this one here, just for your information, the full length of it from one end to the other, is 610 millimetres. The actual extension part there is around about 510 millimetres long. So that gives you an idea in respects to that.
The actual size of these here, are around 50 millimetres, by about 40 millimetres. So, that is the basic size of the boxes, etc. Now, as you can see, it is totally flexible. There is a lot of flexibility in respects to this. So, I wouldn't have any hesitation being able to fit this on to a door. Even if there is a little bit of looperage there, as you can see, it is totally flexible in regards to what it wants to do.
So, there you go, guys. Not much more that I can say, but at least you got the opportunity to see it in the flesh, so to speak. But listen, if you need a bit more info, or you want a bit more of advice pop us over an email, use the live chat, or simply do it the old-fashioned way and give us a call. Love to hear from you, love to see you as one of our customers. So from me, Darrel, and all of us on the team, thanks for taking the time to tune in and catch up with you real soon I hope. Take care. Bye-bye.
