With a backlit window panel for displaying up to 30 flats, and an optional prox-card reader, this is the new and improved 'Lite' version of the Multicom series by AES.
If you're familiar with the original Multicom then you'll be aware of the old directory system which you could scroll through for an eternity looking for the correct flat number amongst up to 500 possible entries. The Multicom LITE looks to eradicate this issue, by removing the directory entirely and displaying a clean and simple illuminated panel which you can enter up to 30 names onto.
Alternatively, for the privacy of your tenants, you can opt not to display names on the illuminated panel at all, and write your own instructions instead, such as "Enter Apartment Number & Press #". In this modern age of privacy and security concerns, it may be that you feel listing names may be a cause for concern, and in most cases, anyone visiting would already know the apartment number they require, so in reality most settings don't even need a list of names - except perhaps for business use, in which case the list of 30 names / departments would be plenty.
Whilst the display only gives space for 30 names, the unit is suitable for up to 100 apartments, with the ability to call up to three numbers per apartment. All you have to do is enter the flat number in the keypad and press the hash key to call the flat registered to that apartment number. The system will then call the first number registered for that apartment, and if that fails, it will call the next number, and again until all three registered phone numbers for that apartment have been exhausted.
In addition to this, the system also functions as an entry device. You can program tenant's (and trusted frequent visitors) mobile numbers into a white-list, and allow them to phone the entry panel's own phone number to trigger the relay used to unlock the door. This means you can open the door using your phone simply by dialling the unit's phone number.
Further to this, the keypad can also be programmed to accept entry codes as well as apartment numbers. So if you wanted tenants / frequent visitors to be able to tap in a code to enter, you can do this too!
The system as mentioned can also host a proximity access card reader. So you can program prox cards and fobs to work with the system, allowing tenants to have keyring fobs or access cards to gain entry to the building - nice and easy!
And what's more, its all easily manageable now with the AES Prime smartphone app, which allows for quick and easy programming without having to learn and understand the codes required.
