Combining the power of your mobile phone plus a digital pin-code keypad to unlock your front door, the Videx GSM Pro system allows you to speak to visitors while you're away from home and remotely unlock the door from anywhere in the world! With no wired-in traditional handsets, these systems make use of the GSM mobile network to make life easy, and also give you the ability to unlock with a pin code or key-fob, too!
Be in control - anywhere, any time.
Busy in the kitchen? No problem - most of us keep our mobile phones on us 99% of the time!
Doing a bit of shopping? No problem - you can answer, let the visitor know - or even let them in while you finish off your shopping!
Waiting in for a delivery? Not any more - when they press the buzzer, you can answer your phone wherever you are and unlock the door to let them drop it inside!
Wherever you are, whatever you're doing - the Videx GSM Pro kit lets you stay in control. And what's more, there's no need to carry keys on you any more, since you can unlock your front door with your mobile phone or key-fob!
Whilst we offer kits for up to 10 call buttons, please be aware that these panels are also modular so can be extended to up to 50 call buttons! So get in touch if you need more! And don't forget there's the standard model too if you don't need the keypad facility!
Multiple Phone Numbers Per Button
You may be thinking - well, this all sounds great but I still think having a 'real' handset in the house would be a good idea - no problem! You can program up to four phone numbers into each call-button! So you may want to have your landline as the first number to call, and if you're out doing your shopping, off on your holidays or even just busy in another room, after the specified time, the system will cease calling the first phone number, and try the next number - which then could be your mobile phone number for example. Again, with up to four numbers programmable you may choose to then call another two further phone numbers should you be unable to answer on your landline or mobile.
While this level of diversity for the intercom aspect is all pretty incredible, let's not forget this system does a lot more for you too - acting as an entire access control system for you, and not just an intercom system! You can gain entry via the built-in keypad, by calling the panel, or quite simply by using a proximity card or key-fob!
Pin-Code Entry via Keypad
Open sesame! We all love the feeling of entering a door using a keypad - but this one is special. While you may choose to rely on the keypad for allowing tenants to enter the property without having to use a key card or their phone (or indeed a physical key), there are a whole host of possibilities with this keypad - and we don't just mean giving the postman an entry code! This keypad can be programmed with three different codes - and each of those codes corresponds to a separate relay. Now, it may be that you only want to unlock the door when a successful code is entered - no problem, just wire up the relays to the lock. However, this can be used for controlling other aspects of the building. As the owner, you may want to be able to switch other devices in the building from the front panel. You can do this no problem, which has proven very useful, especially for businesses who want to engage or disengage different systems outside of working hours.
Quick Entry via Key-Fob
Years ago, the ability to open doors with a key-fob on your keyring was something you might only see in in the movies - but these days, we are enjoying the convenience of this quick and easy method of unlocking our doors more and more. These little proximity badges sit on your keyring (which in fact these days needn't be called a key-ring at all) and allow you to simply present the fob to the panel in order to gain authorised access to the building. They are much more convenient than keys, and also a lot lighter and smaller than bunches of keys!
Door Unlocking via Mobile
You can use your phone for everything these days - we don't need wallets, we don't need keys - all we need is a mobile phone. You can go to the shops and pay with your phone now, so why not come home and unlock the door with your phone too? Well, you can! The front door station will have its own phone numbers, and can be programmed to accept calls from up to 1000 phone numbers, which - if it recognises the number - will allow the door to be opened. What's more, the call does not get answered by the panel, so it wont cost you anything or use up any of your call-minutes. It works purely based on caller-id!
Ever needed to check a history of who called who and who unlocked the door at what time? Event logging can be critical for buildings where security is taken seriously. And this information can be used to help investigations into vandalism, disturbances and other common issues in communal buildings. The event logger in these devices stores up to 4000 records including calls (recipient, call time etc) as well as access times, logged with names and ID's of who unlocked the door. This data can be synced to a PC using the Videx GSM Software, via a USB cable to the unit or by a RS485 BUS connection.
Easy Install & Programming
As well as being easy and convenient for the end-user, these systems are also a dream for the installer. With no wiring to any of the flats or rooms of a building, these systems really can be a huge time-saver (and consequently a huge money-saver for parts and labour involved with running lots of cable). And to compliment this, programming could not be easier either. These devices can be programmed using the easy to use Videx GSM Software, with a USB or RS485 connection to the door panel, or simply by text-message. Of course you don't get the full featured solution via SMS that you would get from the software, but it means it can be programmed remotely. You can add or delete users' phone numbers from anywhere in the world which is a superb benefit for property owners!
We recommend using the software as it allows you to confidently view and manage the settings and users available on the system, where the SMS programming option allows you to do what is needed, it must be used carefully to avoid entering incorrect commands or data.
And to make life extra easy in terms of wiring in the locking solution, these run off 12-24v AC/DC and offer a dry relay output for the locking solution, as well as a dedicated push-to-exit input and two separate auxiliary inputs for peripheral devices - also don't forget you've got those three relays from the keypad too, which can be very useful!
