Boasting full video & audio communication with your visitors and full online remote management, these vandal resistant video intercom systems allow you to see and speak to whoever is at your door, giving you the opportunity to decide whether or not you wish to let the person in. Of course, if you have an electric lock or strike release fitted, you can do this remotely from your phone with no need to go and physically unlock the door.
The beauty with these systems is that they work over the 4G network, so they can video-call your smartphone, or make a voice-call to your landline, or indeed a voice call to any 'non-smart' mobile phones with audio only. So whether the group of occupants all happen to be tech-savvy smart phone users, or there are a mixed selection of smartphone and non-smartphone users, the system can cater to both, making these a great all-round solution. And what's more, the 4G network means really minimal wiring is needed for installation, with absolutely no wiring to any apartments / flats because there are no handsets to worry about connecting to the system.
Up to six people can login to the app using the same registered number on the system; allowing the whole family to enjoy the benefit of video calls from the same call button on the door station. This far outweighs the more typical scenario found on similar systems of giving the primary user full features, and only limited features to secondary users. With these, the whole family (up to 6 devices) can enjoy the full feature video calling to their smartphones or tablets.
Offering a digital LCD scroll display, full 12-button keypad, and incorporating a card/fob reader below, these systems are both intuitive and functional, offering excellent features and value for money.
The LCD display can be used in more than one way. There are directory scroll buttons below, which can be used to allow visitors to scroll through the directory of listed occupants (or flat numbers), whereby they can simply press the bell button to call the selected flat number / occupant; or you can choose to simply display an instructional message, such as "Enter flat number to call".
Alternatively, it is possible in the programming portal to configure the bell button to call an assigned user directly - of course this is only usually practical for single residence setups or indeed office setups where you want visitors to simply call reception while staff can use the system for authorised entry using their assigned codes or keyfobs etc.
The keypad can be used by both visitors and occupants, with up to 40 codes available to be programmed at any time. It acts as a means to allow people to direct-dial flat numbers (or office numbers if being used at an office), whilst also providing a simple and convenient way for occupants to gain entry to the building using their programmed keypad code.
Below the keypad, these also offer a proximity reader for cards and fobs. This allows residents to have a key-tag (up to 3000 as standard, increased to 10,000 when using an additional door card) to enter the building rather than having to use keys, which may seem to be just a nice-to-have feature to avoid using keys, but equally getting residents to use these digital forms of access (either the keypad or their fob), means you'll have a log of who has used the door and when, which can be very useful in buildings with multiple occupancy, particularly in instances where doors are not closed properly or other incidents which may be assisted by knowing who has used the door around the time of the event.
With its very neat design, these measure in at just 120 x 270 x 15mm (W x H x D), so sit really nicely in the vast majority settings, still sure to be noticed but without looking cumbersome or invasive. It is also worth noting that these are available in a flush mount or surface mount option. In most cases surface-mount is wise, unless it's been included as part of the design specification of the building, otherwise you may struggle to achieve a flush fitting.
As with all of the 4G Intratone systems available at LocksOnline, a pre-paid data package is provided as standard, so although these do need to use the 4G network, you don't have to worry about the usual ongoing monthly fees to pay to a SIM card provider, this is all taken care of before you begin, so that there are no monthly fees - and this data package lasts for an incredible 15 years, by which time you may wish to make changes to your system anyway. This is on a roaming SIM so as long as you can get good network coverage from one of the main providers, the supplied network package is able to hop onto that network to give the best coverage.
The system needs to be powered with a 12/24v DC power supply, offering a very minimum of 2amps. We offer a professional boxed power supply available which offers a smoothed and regulated 12v DC output with a 5amp output, giving you some spare power which could be shared with electric locks fitted etc, and is available at a cheaper price than most 2amp power supplies. We recommend you consider taking advantage of the battery backup option so that you have some backup power to help keep the system operational in the event of a power outage.
