Including all the necessary components to offer keypad-restricted access on a single door, this all-in-one kit includes everything you need except cable, which we include in our installation kit as an optional extra depending on whether you have your own installation cable or not.
The kit comprises of four main components - the power supply, the door release mechanism, a dual-function push to exit button and emergency call point (emergency break glass unit - although this one is resettable and not the old style of breaking glass), and finally the keypad itself. Each component has its own specifications as below:
The Keypad
The keypad in this kit is capable of operating for up to 125 individual users. That's 125 separate programmed codes you can have - more than enough for most applications. The keypad offers all your typical functionality with LED backlighting as standard, audible tones and of course a relay output to trigger the strike release, but also comes with an anti-tamper switch inside which also operates a separate output on the circuit board to allow you to raise an alarm or similar, should anyone remove the cover of the keypad.
The Strike Release
The strike release included with this kit is a high quality GEM GK310, with the well known ANSI pattern. Supplied with long and short faceplates for different applications (short faceplate is fitted in the main product photo), these can be suited to timber framed wooden doors, aluminium or other metal doors, as well as the new composite style doors. Iincluded are mounting brackets that allow you to fit the strike on hollow metal frames, so this is just about the most universal strike you could hope to find on the market really. The Exit Button / Call Point Modules
The exit button and resettable call-point unit in this kit are built as one module. To help prevent false triggering of the call point, there is a hinged screen cover, which will help you avoid accidental triggering of the call point. Of course this call point is resettable anyway unlike the old break glass units, so there wont be ongoing costs involved with respect to that. The Power Supply Unit
Included within the kit is a professional boxed power supply, providing a regulated 1amp supply at 12v DC - enough to power this whole bundle. A backup battery option is available on this power supply, but as this is optional and may not be required, the battery is not included - this keeps costs down and of course you are able to purchase a suitable backup battery from us too. Our product specifications are given in good faith but can be subject to manufacturer change without notice. Should an attribute be of essense to your purchase, please feel free to contact us first for confirmation.
