Allowing access via keypad or a quick phonecall to the unit, this device is fully programmable via text-message, allowing you to add, delete or change codes on-the-fly without being present at the property.
With two remotely programmable relay outputs, this incredibly versatile GSM keypad can store up to 384 user codes, and can also hold up to 1150 telephone numbers in its whitelist to allow entry via a quick phonecall to the unit. This huge capacity allows this unit to cater for such a wide scope of applications, from domestic to commercial where you may have anything from a small handful of users right up to an entire workforce.
In addition to this, the unit can also be setup with a dial-in access code, so if you wish to allow non-whitelisted numbers to call the unit to gain access, you can program and share an access password which they would be prompted to tap in on their keypad when they phone the device from a non-whitelisted number.
Each of the two relays can also be programmed to either toggle or latch depending on your requirements, so a correct PIN number or a call from a whitelisted number can either momentarily flip the state of the relay, or it can toggle its state permanently, requiring another call or valid PIN entry to then toggle it back.
When it comes to access logs, this can be a very important feature in some settings, and for this reason you have the option to retrieve access logs - and can even program the device to automatically send text messages (or email for advanced IT users) after every 100 or 200 events (this is selectable at the time of programming) containing the list of events. This also helps keep the SIM active by ensuring that periodic outgoing messages are sent.
In terms of its physical build, this compact unit measures just 86mm x 166mm x 75mm (W x H x D) including the rain-shield, and features blue backlighting on the keys for excellent visibility and ease of use in low-light settings or at night.
Built to be vandal-resistant, the unit is made from a combination of tough die-cast aluminium, stainless steel, and rigid ABS plastic. Also built into the unit is an anti-tamper switch, so should anyone attempt to remove or open the unit, a tamper-alert will be sent to your phone to inform you of the tamper.
The system comes with its own plug-in power supply, but should you wish to use your own existing supply, this can be 12-24v AC or DC, consuming just 55mA on average, with a maximum peak of 250mA - so this is a very accommodating system in terms of utilising existing power supplies.
