The AL2000 is Alpro's monitored mortice strike release. Along with the continued high quality build you would come to expect from an Alpro product, these also offer the uniquely beneficial monitoring functionality, which allows for integration into an alarm or other security system. So if you want to be able to have your security systems monitor the state of the door, these will allow you to do this.
On top of the advanced monitoring functionality described above, these also give you anti-tamper monitoring. So should somebody tamper with or attempt to manipulate the strike release, you have the ability to monitor for this also.
So in essence you will have three monitor outputs, the LSS Output (Lock Status Sensor), the DSS Output (Door Status Sensor) and finally an ATS Sensor (Anti-Tamper Sensor), all of which can be monitored individually. Further details on this can be found in the Installation Instructions.
Boasting a 3,000lb holding force (in metric that's a 1,380kg holding force), this is an extremely tough bit of kit, especially considering its compact design - with a mortice depth of just 26mm!
Furthermore, these are rated to IP56 Ingress Protection, complimented by a stainless steel body and striker, allowing for resistance against the elements - and of course, with good maintenance you will see a LOT of life out of these. Ultimately these are built to perform and last.
With a selectable 12v / 24v DC voltage switch, and easy conversion between fail-locked and fail-unlocked, this really is an 'everything you could need' sort of strike. It is a very complete and well-thought-out product to suit a vast range of purposes.
Optional lip extensions are available also, to allow for installation on deeper frames.
