Electric strikes are suitable for installation in door frames and replace older standard strikes. This form of access control allows remote access and monitored of doors, an essential form of security for many businesses. This model is the Asec IGEST 20 monitored electric strike release. This model is installed in a combined mortice/mounted manner. During standby mode, the IGEST 20 boasts a very low current consumption. The finish available on this electric strike release is zinc alloy that has been designed with a high end surface treatment to increase the life and prevent against elements such as weather and corrosion. This model is available with a tamper proof monitoring system that allows the end user to be able to remotely monitor the open and closed state of a door, also notifying the user if the system is or has been tampered with.
This model is also available in fail locked and fail unlocked variations, an explanation of these functions can be found below:
Fail Locked: Models using this setup require power to unlock the door, if a power failure occurs they will remain in a locked state, preventing access.
Fail Unlocked: Models using this configuration require power to lock the door, in the event of power failure they will be in the unlocked state, allowing access.
