Ideal for heavy traffic and safe for use on emergency escape doors, this high security strike release boasts 750kg of holding force, and is operable under an impressive 450kg of sideload pressure, making it the perfect choice for commercial applications and escape doors.
Whilst the holding force on this strike is impressive, the truly impressive part is that ability to function under 450kg of preload. This is a phenomenal rating as most strike releases fail to operate correctly under sideload pressure - so this ability to handle an whopping 450kg is just outstanding!
The jaw on these offers a 2mm adjustment which allows for perfect alignment of the latch against the jaw once everything's fitted. This ability to 'fine-tune' afterwards allows for a simple and clean installation, and allows for correct and precise operation of the strike release.
Inside the jaw, you'll notice a metal lug which gets compressed by the latch when the door is in the closed position, which operates an internal microswitch within the body of the strike release. This microswitch changes the state of the monitoring relay inside, which gives you true door monitoring outputs (both normally-open and normally-closed) for your monitoring devices, door alarms, status lights, interlocking modules, or in theory whatever other devices you like (within reason).
The terminals shown in the photos are as follows:
NO = Normally-Open monitoring output
C = Common monitoring output
NC = Normally-Closed monitoring output
V = 12vDC Input (polarity unconscious)
Endurance-tested to over 500,000 operations, this performance-rated strike release is built with stainless steel internal components to compliment the durability of the construction. Similarly, the coil is continuously rated so will not simply burn out under continuous power like a standard coil would.
In addition to the above, in order to protect your systems and devices, these strikes are fitted with an internal MOV (metal-oxide varistor), designed to absorb excess power spikes and surges to help prevent them harming your system components.
Please note, these strikes are handed (standard DIN handing) - please refer to the handing guide on this page in order to ensure you order the correct item!
