Built for use on double-door setups, these double-maglocks offer a combined holding force of over 1000kg (545kg each side - that's 1200lb each side or 2400lbs in total) which results in an extremely strong level of hold, and offers a superior strength to the slimline version for tight spaces.
In terms of space required, this is a full-size mag setup so the complete double-maglock measures 532mm in length, 73mm in height and has a depth of 40mm. For some applications this may be too large for the available space, in which case you would most likely want to consider the slimline low-profile version (click here). But if you can get away with this size, you'll get a lot more holding force because of it. For your interest the armature plates measure 185 x 60 x 16mm.
Each half of the mag has its own wiring, so can be controlled separately if you wish (a sought after feature for lots of settings using double-doors), and equally both have a small LED indicator on them to show the door status. The maglocks also each offer a set of COM/NO/NC relay outputs, which can be used for your own monitoring facility if desired.
To power these, you're going to need a 12 or 24v DC power supply, which needs to be putting out a minimum of 1Amps @ 12v DC or 500mA @ 24v DC. Of course if you're going to be powering an access device such as a keypad, proximity card/fob reader, or any other components then you'll need to factor in the power requirements for those too. So typically we'd recommend a 2Amp power supply for these. Of course if you're planning on using a dedicated power supply fitted directly next to the mag to avoid any voltage drop, you may consider a regulated 1Amp power supply but we list a 2Amp as an extra, as this will guarantee enough power to energise the magnets and power a basic access control system along with it, which in most cases is how you'd usually expect to see a simple maglock system fitted.
