With lock state monitoring, these versatile slim-profile maglocks offer a solid 275kg (600lbs) of holding force, while displaying a lock status LED indicator as well as outputs you can utilise for your own lights, buzzers or monitoring equipment.
These slimline electromagnetic locks are small and compact, offering the unique functionality of a low-profile design allowing for installation in awkward or restricted locations, whilst still offering a decent level of strength for basic applications. This type of electromagnetic door lock is ideal for tight spaces where a full-sized magnet would not be practical, measuring just 250mm x 48mm x 25mm, which compared to a full size maglock, can be the difference between being able to fit a maglock or not. So these slimline mags are really a fantastic solution, as they can be used much more universally than a full sized version.
Operable on both 12v DC and 24v DC, you will need to get yourself a basic 1amp power supply to run these - or indeed if you already have a system set up, then you may have enough unused power from an existing PSU to power these - the current
consumption of the mag is 500mA on 12vDC, or 350mA on 24vDC respectively. This relatively low
power consumption in the grand scheme of things so will typically mean that a basic 1amp power supply
will be all you need to power the magnet and a typical keypad or prox reader
etc. Of course this would depend on the components you plan to use but
this is a simple case of adding up all the maximum current draw
specifications on each of your proposed components. In typical single-door applications 1amp suits most installs.
If
you're looking to replace an existing maglock then the full
specifications on sizing etc can be found in the "Specifications" tab
above. These should help you decipher if this is going to allow for a
clean retrofit, or indeed if you'll need to make any small alterations.
