The Avocet deadbolt and roller multipoint lock was originally designed in 28mm and 35mm backset models; however they are now only available in their 35mm models. If you are in the rare situation where you need to replace a 28mm backset model, this is still possible with minimal modification by switching to the GU 28mm deadbolt multipoint lock instead.
If you are after the 35mm model though; then these are a direct replacement for your existing Avocet lock which has a 2 deadbolt with 4 roller setup. The deadbolts are located top and bottom, with a combination of four roller cams along the rail in between. This, in addition to the deadlock offered by the centre gearbox, provides a very secure and tight fit into the frame when locked.
The PZ centres on the split spindle functionality of the gearbox are 92mm and 62mm as standard.
