Hi guys, my name's Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
Today we're talking about cupboard locks, and we're talking about this cut cupboard lock. It's the number 61 series cut cupboard lock that we have now available on our website. One of the distinct advantages of this particular type of cut cupboard lock, over other cut cupboard locks, is the fact that it has up to four levers for giving you that little bit of extra security in regards to somebody trying to manipulate this particular type of lock.
So if you have a display cabinet, or you have a cupboard, or a cabinet of any types where you want to make sure that you get a better degree of security, guys, you need to be choosing the four lever version, as opposed to a one or a two lever version. So it's very important for you to be aware of that.
The one that we have here is the smallest of the bunch. There's three different sizes available, so I'm going to use this as the benchmark to get you some sort of idea as to what the sizes are, and what they relate to in regards to the other sizes as well.
Now one thing you need to be aware of with these is that you can either have them in an upshoot there, because it has the ability to either be sitting as a drawer lock, because it has the cut out in the vertical layer, but it can also be a cupboard lock with actually hinges like that.
Now these are handed, because if you try to put that on that side, then of course then your hole is going to be upside down, which is no good. So you need to make sure that you find the right hand depending on the application that you particularly want. So it's very important that.
Now the reason why it's called a cut cupboard lock is you can actually see this would be the faceplate, and this would actually sit flush on the back of the cupboard or the drawer. And this would be cut out here to allow you to then sit it into the door nice and tight. So the finish is right bang on there.
Now one of the other things that you need to be aware of is the measurements etc. Now this is the baby of the bunch, so its case height is 50 millimetres there from the top to the bottom as you can see there.
And the back set on this particular one is 13 millimetres, which is the distance from the faceplate to the actual centre of where the key actually gets put into. It comes as standard with two keys, and if you wanted any of these keyed alike under special order we can get batches of them keyed alike for you. So by all means pop on an email over to us if you need a bit more of advice.
So for me, Darrel, and all of us here at the LocksOnline team, come over if you need a bit more information or by all means use the live chat on our website. Come over and be a customer of ours. We'd really appreciate that.
So for me, Darrel, and all of us here at the team, take care. Catch up with you real soon, bye-bye.
