Ideal for surface mounting to cabinet walls to allow for use with furniture locks and latches, these L-bracket style keep plates can be used in various ways depending on the application.
In some thin-skinned applications they can be used a strike-lip, by fitting to the inside of the adjoining cabinet wall, to allow the bevelled lip to protrude out to prevent a furniture latch from damaging the face of the cabinet frame/wall, but equally can be fitted as a keep plate more generically with cam-locks and other key-operated furniture locks.
Where cranked cams-locks are used, these can also be very useful for setting an appropriate stop-point for the cam to engage with when locked.
These may not suit all applications but are a great way to solve many problems with fitting locks on cabinets and other similar setups; we would encourage you to check the diagram to see if these will work in your application.
The fixing centres for the screw-fittings are 32.5mm, measured from the centre of one hole to the centre of the other.
