This model is unique in that it is suitable for glass panelled doors. It is also BS3621 insurance approved, which says a lot for the level of security the Chubb 4L67 provides. There is no latch with this model instead the bolt is operated from the inside by using the handle and via a key from the outside. The lock will auto lock when the door is closed. This model is suitable for wooden or timber doors with a thickness of 38-57mm. The cylinder and case have been designed to be protected from drill attacks via the use of hardened steel plates and integral pins. The cylinder provided with this model is also highly secure and has been designed to resist multiple forms of torque attack. The case supplied with this model comes in a brass finish; the cylinder comes in a polished brass. The Chubb 4L67 has a standard backset size of 60mm, and comes with 2 keys.
Operation
Deadbolt is automatically thrown when the door closes and withdrawn by knob from inside and key outside. Internal knob can be locked by key only. Bolt can be held back by depressing snib on top of the case.
