Whether you're fitting or replacing a Euro cylinder, Oval cylinder, Rim cylinder or Screw-In cylinder, each of these requires retaining screws to secure the cylinder into the door.
Whilst in many cases the retaining screws can be re-used from the previous cylinder, sometimes they are worn, damaged or corroded and should be replaced.
There are four screw sizes available. The M5 screw types come in three sizes. The 70mm and 80mm sizes are suited to euro and oval cylinders, whilst the 40mm model is for rim cylinders (note rim cylinders use two screws, so in most cases you will need to order two of these screws). The small M2 screws are for securing the cam on the back of screw-in type cylinders.
Please note that whilst cylinder retaining screws are typically standardised sizing, there are always exceptions and in some instances there are unique fixings for some specialist cylinders which would need to be sourced specially.
