Hi guys, my name's Darrel. I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk and today we're looking at the Hoppe Tilt and Turn window handle, and this is the locking handle that you see here.

Now there's a few distinct features about this particular type of handle. And I'll go through them now as I'm chatting to you. So under normal set of circumstances, it allows you, you can actually turn the handle. I don't know if I can show it to you guys, all the way around like that, okay. So it's quite multi-function-able in that respect.

What you can also do, as well, is that when you go and lock it and you take the key out, you can lock it then actually in its bottom position like that. Look, it won't move, but you can also lock it in either horizontal position. Now you need to be aware, that if I bring it up into the horizontal position and lock it, I've now locked it down. So it won't go down, but it will go up. And it'll go up and it won't go down any further. So you need to be aware that if you're going to put this on your window, then the locking solution is the down position like that. Or it can be actually locked actually in the downward position like that as well. Okay? So that's the basic application of this particular type of handle.

This is manufactured by a company called Hoppe, and one of the distinct things, if you're thinking that this is the handle that you have, and you want to replace, or it was broken, is to look for that little logo. I don't think that we could actually zoom in that close there. But that's the sort of logo that you may see. I don't know if we can get in there, but it's shaped like a 'H' anyway.

Now, to get at the fixings, if you could stay zoomed in there, the fixings are behind this cover plate here. And if I was to put a little bit of pressure on either side there, I can take the cover fixing off like that and there's our fixings then in which to screw to our window, or our multi-point locking mechanism.

So let's go through a few of the measurements for you, so then you can make an informed decision as to whether or not this is the particular lock for you. So the handle then that's the distance from there to there, is 129 millimetres. Its projection from there to there, that's its projection, is 44 millimetres. The spindle width there is 6 millimetres. The fixing centres, from there to there, is 43 millimetres. The height of the actual – this particular part here which is the part that you'd fix or the length, whichever way you want to look at it, is 66 millimetres from there to there. And its width then is 29 millimetres here.

Now one of the things, as well, that I'm going to quickly get a measurement for you, because it's probably quite important that you know that, is the projection. This length here, and that projects there 32 millimetres. So that's the length there is 32 millimetres.

So there you go guys. As you can see its in a nice white finish, a lovely white. But if this is the particular lock for you, or a locking handle for you in that case, then, you know, by all means you can get it on our site, LocksOnline.co.uk.

In the meantime, from me, Darrel, many thanks for taking the time to pop on and have a look at this video. I hope that you'll get a bit more information out of a video then you can on a picture. But in the mean time, if you need any more help or advice, feel free to pop us over an e-mail, or Live Chat us in the daytime, or pick up the dog and bone and give us a call.

Anyway, nice to speak to you. Take care and yeah, catch up with you real soon.
