This attractive and slightly quirky necked bolt is a great choice for an interior design scheme where rustic or 'steampunk' type styling is featured. This kind of bolt is great for applications such as securing cupboard doors where the door butts up to a wall, or the door is slightly recessed from the frame. The bolt itself has a 'sprung' feeling to it in that you do need to depress the end of the bolt slightly in order to slide the bolt back and forth. This is all part of the hand-forged design and style of the bolt, and adds to the character and charm of the piece.
The hand-forged nature of this bolt gives it a unique appearance, accentuated by the multi-tonal quality of the pewter. The plate on which the bolt is mounted features a slightly beveled edge where it has been hammered into shape. The main part of the bolt has a curled and scroll style 'tail' to it which tapers back from the bar. The neck of the bolt has a nicely smoothed bend, and there is a also a small holding screw set in to the bolt to prevent over extension or withdrawal.
The bolt is supplied with keep plate and fixing screws, all finished in the same multi-tonal pewter. The back plate of the bolt measures approximately 115mm in length and 40mm in width. The bolt itself is approximately 12mm wide. All measurements given are approximate and may vary slightly due to the hand-forged nature of the product.
