Do you need a door chain, but are concerned about drilling into the frame of your new UPVC door? What if there were a product that provided the additional security of a chain without the need to attach any door furniture to your door or frame whatsoever? Introducing the ASEC UPVC Door Chain Restrictor with Ring.
The majority of door chains consist of a plate, which is screwed into the door itself, and a keep, which is screwed into the door frame. For people with UPVC doors, who do not have the option of filling and repainting the screw holes if they wish to remove or reposition their chain, this can be an issue. The ASEC UPVC door chain solves this issue via a ring at the end of the chain which is fitted onto the door handle itself. The keep is attached to the wall rather than the door frame, meaning that if you do decide to reposition the chain or move it to another door, there will be no unsightly holes left behind in you door or door frame.
So when a stranger calls at your house and you wish to speak to them without opening your door, you simply slip the ring over your door handle and open the door, safe in the knowledge that entry is still restricted by the chain. In fact, it is not just those of us with UPVC door who could benefit from this product, as it is suitable to be fitted to almost any door as long as it has a suitable lever door handle.
The door chain is made from die-cast zinc and has a white finish. It comes with extra long screws for mounting the keep to your wall.
