Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos. All we have in front of us today is the patio sliding door and handles. They're designed by a company called Fuhr. It's a 3000 series patio door handles. Now, these particular handles are all technically designed. There's no mechanism in them at all. There's no cut-out for a Euro. There's no indicator here for you to put a handle in to operate a cam. They're just a purely a set of cranked and we call it cranked because it turns back on itself like that. A set of pull handles that allows you to operate a sliding patio door.
If we brainstorm the idea a little bit, we're not only limited to them being on a patio door. They could actually be fitted on any type of door. You typically bolt them through and you can use them as pull handles both ways if you want to. Or a wooden door, I mean they don't have to be UPVC. They can be on a wooden patio door, sliding backwards and forwards, no problem at all.
So what else makes distinctive as well? I don't know if you can zoom in there for us, Lee, but you can actually undo the handles here, depending on the handling of the door. Because in this case if this handle was on the outside and your door was sliding like that, well if it was sliding the other way, then you'd want to be able to turn this around. The only other way of doing it would mean having the screws on the outside, but that's not what you want to do. So Fuhr has thought a little bit more about that and being able to undo the screws that it allows you to turn the handles around. Now, they're available in white and in also in a gold finish. So, you know, it's up to you as to what sort of finish you'd be interested in having.
Just going to give you some quick little measurements now just to give you some sort of idea as to what the overall measurements are. The overall size of the handle there is about 220 millimetres as you can see there. The fixing centres, if you're interested in wanting to know those, is 145 millimetres, fixing centres. The first fixing hole from the top is 40 millimetres as you can see there, and then from the top to the second fixing hole is 185 millimetres. The width there is 25 millimetres.
So not really much that you can say about this. They are obviously designed by a UPVC door manufacturer, and obviously therefore designed to work with a UPVC door. But I don't see any reason why they can't be used if you think that that's the style you like or that's the design, it could go on a wooden sliding door, a patio type door, or any other type of door in that respect.
It comes with a set of fixings here, as you can see, and it comes in all different lengths and sizes depending on how thick your particular door is. They've obviously put a range in there so you don't necessarily have to cut them off. But the longest one that I see there would give you overall is about 70 millimetres. So by the time you put those through in this screw into there, you should be able to do up to a door 70 millimetres, no problem at all.
So there you go, guys. It's the Fuhr range of patio door handles, the 3000 series available on our website.
