Inside most handle sets for multipoint locks on uPVC doors and now on modern composite and wooden doors, you would normally find a spring cassette like these to assist in the return of the handles to the centre position after lifting or depressing the handle to engage the lock or open the door.
The idea of these spring cassettes is that it takes some of the strain off the followers in your multipoint lock mechanism, to prevent unnecessary wear over time. Ensuring your spring cassettes are working as they should can prolong the life of your multipoint lock and put a stop to early failure of the springs inside the gearbox causing 'droopy handles'.
We have the two common sizes available, 58mm (with a rounded end) and 60mm (with flat ends) to suit the majority of door handles with 122mm and 211mm fixing centres.
We now also have the unique blue spring cassettes found on the Trojan Sparta range of handles!
