Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm the head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos. The product that we have here today is from a great British manufacturer, Bulldog, that have been manufacturing clamps and hitch locks and so forth for a long time now. It's probably just as long as we have been in business and probably they have been there a little bit longer perhaps. I'm not 100% sure. But they're a well reputable company in the caravan and in the industry and so forth and in the leisure industry, et cetera, when it comes to wanting to secure your trailer or your caravan or anything like that.
This is the Euro Clamp and it's designed to work with a small wheels, et cetera. This is basically the actual product. It weighs an absolute weight. If you wanted to fit this, it's a thing of weight. It feels substantial as well as you can see there. And of course the idea is quite simple. What you would effectively do is you'd split the two apart like that. You'd clamp them in like that against your wheel and as you clamp them in there, you'll have . . . you have got a row, if I turn that around there like that, you got a row then of holes there that you would then move that in depending on the size that you've got and it'll actually fits exactly where you would want it to be. And then you would then push this bolt in and that would that be it. Then it would be locked, it's as simple as that.
So the principle is very, very straightforward and it's easy to actually use in that respect. So what I want you to try and do was one of the most important things is what size of wheel will it take up to. And I can get all that measurements for you now. So if I was to say to our size, if we need to pop that out and lock that into the furthest position which is there. That's the furthest now it will work. Let me get you some sort of idea as I sit it up there like that and I can get this steel ruler and get some sort of measurements for you.
So the distance on the inside there now is a whopping 300 millimetres, just over 300 millimetres. It's just pushing further than my steel ruler will get there. But it's around about 300 millimetres. There you go. The hole there at its widest peak as you can see there now. So I'll just get the measurement there for you. And we're looking there at 125 millimetres. That's the distance, that's the furthest that it can be. The actual length from here up to the inside there, we have got that at being, I'm going to be saying 235 millimetres from there then up into there.
Now if I was to put this down again and I was to actually lift that up there, lift it all up and push it in until it is in its fully closed position which would be there. Now I'm going to turn around and of course that width has been significantly reduced. So what I'll do now is, I'll get you guys a measurement now as being, that is now 195 millimetres and of course that there is no more than about an inch or so now; we have 25 millimetres there.
So this is significant amount of distance there between them all and of course it can be used in multiple applications and so forth as long as that is clamped around your wheel and your wheel when it tries to turn, it won't turn because the rest of it, in effect, that is now secured.
So of course when you buy a Bulldog and because it's British, you're buying a pedigree product here. It comes as standard with two keys. For your information as well, they do, Bulldog do actually pop the key code on the actual keys and I would strongly urge you to write that code and keep that somewhere safe that if you ever did lose your keys, then you could always contact us again, LocksOnline.co.uk. And we will be able to get you a spare key then via that code. So keep that somewhere safe and if you ever lost your keys, you won't end up destroying this to get it out. You can then turn around and give us call and we'll get your replacement key.
Because Bulldog have really thought about this security and so forth, and as you can see here on the actual cam as well. You can see there on the radial cam lock, you can see that they have got a steel bearing that's sitting in the centre there. Again, another pedigree for security and as much as that ensures that if somebody tried to start drilling it or tried to attack it that it's going to take a lot longer than it would do normally. So again, a lot of thought there, going into that.
So there you go, guys. It's available on our website, LocksOnline.co.uk. It's the Bulldog Euro Clamp. I'm hoping this video gives you a little bit more than what a picture will give you. At least now you can see it in the flesh. And you can say, "Oh yeah, that would fit" or "maybe I would need a different size or a different model". By all means just give us a shout on our live chat if you're not 100% sure or pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way we'd love to hear from you and more importantly, we'd love to see you as our customer. That would be really good for us. So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at the team, thank you. And we'll catch with you real soon. Bye, bye now.
