Asec A2 Delay Electric Strike Release

This model is a part of Asec's electric door release range, the Asec A2 Delay electric strike release. This model replaces standard strikes and allows remote access control of a door or gate. This model has been designed to be mortised into the door frame itself, much like standard mechanical strike. It also comes with a mechanical delay pin which keeps the 'released' until the door is openned, at which point the strike then returns and re-activates ready for when the door is closed again. This means if your intercom station or other access control interface is situated a moment away from the door itsself, you are not on a physical time limit to reach the door and enter. The door will be openable until it has been opened, at which point it would then need to be re-triggered to open again.

Another great function of the mechanical delay feature, is that you may wish for a secondary internal door to be triggered at the same time as the external access door, or perhaps trigger the front door at the same time as a yard gate - in which case the visitor is going to require time to get from the first access gate to the second.

This model operates on a fail locked configuration.

Fail Locked: Electric strikes that operate on this type of configuration require power to unlock the door. Therefore in the event of a power failure, the electric strike will remain in the locked position.
