ASEC High Security BS8621 Euro Deadlock with Security Escutcheons

This euro-profile dead lock meets and exceeds the requirements for BS8621 fire rating!  At an incredible price, not only will you meet BS3821 (which includes all the principal security features required for BS3621, with the addition of free-egress granted by the thumbturn on the inside) insurance requirements purely based on the lock case and security cylinder provided, but you will also have an added layer of security thanks to the prolific hardened bolt-through security escutcheons which are supplied too with this lock.  So no need to go hunting for suitable security escutcheons and all that bother, offering incredible value for money, this lock setup comes with everything!

The cylinder provided is the typical size of 70mm overall (35x35) and is euro profile to suit the majority of UK applications.  This is ideal for a typical 44mm / 45mm thick door (typical for external doors such as front doors & back doors), as it will then protrude out on each side, enough to fill the security escutcheons which will encase the cylinder and protect against attack.

These are great from a safety perspective as well as a security point of view, however they are considerably less suitable for doors with large letterboxes or window panes within reach of the thumbturn, as this may give thieves the ability to put their hand through and open the door from the inside.

We've two sizes available, which are the standard 64mm and 76mm (or, if you're oldschool - approximately 2.5 inch and 3 inch).  These are predominantly the sizes used in most doors, which means replacing existing locks with these  should be no bother.  And of course if you're starting from scratch with a new door then simply take your pick!

The latch can easily be reversed, this is not a complicated procedure and can simply be done on-site once you can physically see the door if you're unsure of the handing.
