Fullex Crimebeater Midlock Multipoint with 5-Lever Holiday Lock Addon

Utilised on Persimmon, Bryant, and Barratt Homes since 2010, this is what we call the Holiday Lock, manufactured by Fullex as part of their Crimebeater range.  Named the 'Midlock', the whole idea behind this setup is that it incorporates a 5-lever mortice deadlock within the multipoint locking solution. 

This adds a secondary layer of security to your door, as it allows you to utilise both the full multipoint locking solution and the extra deadlock when you are away from the house.  This not only adds a further locking point to the door, but also means that even a skilled burglar with lock-picking experience, would effectively find that your door is twice as difficult to pick than others, which is a risk that you must ask yourself whether or not a burglar is going to take, when it would be so much easier - and more importantly quicker (less time to be seen by onlookers) - to go to another house?

So, with the top and bottom deadbolts as well as the centre gearbox's latch & deadbolt setup, the multipoint solution offers a three-deadbolt setup, and then once you utilise the further traditional style mortice deadlock too, you effectively end up with four deadbolts all secured into the frame, creating a very solid defence to your home. 

These have a 20mm radius faceplate, so are typically seen more on wooden / timber and composite style doors, rather than your average uPVC door - but most uPVC doors can be modified to accept a 20mm faceplate so should you wish to use this, it can be done in most cases, as long as your uPVC door can accommodate the 45mm backset!
