This Budget Oval bullet lock is very cost effective while at the same time still providing a high level of security. These models are usually used to secure roller shutter doors. The installation is quite simple, requiring a housing to be welded to the U-Channels of the door; a hole is then drilled through the housing and the roller shutter door. This will then allow the bullet lock to be inserted into the housing and once the key is turned, it secures the shutter door.
Removing the bullet lock is very simple and requires a simple turn of the key; it can then be removed from the housing in seconds. We have a variety of keying options for this roller shutter door lock allowing you to have a versatile approach to your keying arrangements. The housing designed specifically for the model is listed below. This Budget Oval bullet lock comes in a polished brass finish, and two keys as standard

Hi guys, my name's Darrel. I'm head of the tech team here at
locksonline.co.uk. And today we're looking at products and we're doing
product reviews. More in particular we're looking at roller shutter doors
and locks that use bullet locks, etc., for locking roller shutter doors.

Now, for your information, if you don't know much about roller shutter
doors, they're mostly on industrial units and so forth. The idea is you
roll it, or you lift it up like that and it rolls up at the top, hence the
reason why it's called a roller shutter. You've got a U channel on either
side, that is acting as guides or slides that allows the roller shutter to
slide up and down. And one of the ways of being able to secure those is by
putting what we call in the trade a bullet lock on either side that
actually puts a lock all the way through.

Now, this particular VT is about the Asec Universal bullet lock holder.
This is it here. It's quite distinctively shaped. So if you happen to see
this particular style on your door already, if you've got a roller shutter
door and this is the actual style that is already welded there, then this
particular bullet lock housing will accept the Asec range of bullet locks
and they'll also accept Viro range of bullet locks.

I get some measurements off this just to make sure that if you're thinking
of actually welding these on yourself, if this is the one that will fit
your particular roller shutter door, then you can either choose the Asec
range of bullet locks or the Viro, the 3/3, 3/1, or the 3/3/3/2 range of
bullet locks will fit this particular housing as well.

So very quickly, I'll just get the measurements for you. The actual
diameter of the actual housing itself is 41.7 mil, say 42 millimeters
nearest diameter. The height, or the depth, or the projection is 37
millimeters. The size of the hole in the back there, just give you a quick
measurement of that; that is 16 millimeters straight on. And the size of
the hole there as well in case you might want to need that, the width is
14.56 millimeters, that's that width there, 14.56 millimeters. And then the
height there is 21 millimeters, 21.7 millimeters. So, there you go. That's
a universal bullet lock housing, it can be used on the Viro range of bullet
locks and also the Asec range of bullet locks.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for spending some time watching
our video. I hope this has helped you make an informed decision about
whether or not this particular product is suitable for your application,
but feel free to give us a call or pop us an email or visit our site or
surf our site and you know, we're always there if you need some help or
advice, pick up the phone, we would love to chat. Anyway, take care, thank
you very much and bye-bye now.
