Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now, we're putting these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer, and hopefully, a little bit more detail, or in the flesh, so to speak.
So today, I want to show you a bullet lock that we have available on our website, and it's manufactured by the company ILS and this is the actual bullet lock itself. Now, this is designed to work as an additional form of security for when you've got roller shutter doors that go up and down. What you would have, in effect, is you would have a keep that's welded onto the runner in regards to the actual roller shutter. Then, when you want to lock the actual roller shutter down, you would then push this into the keep. This bolt would then go through the actual roller shutter itself and out the other side of the runner that's on either side.
You normally would have two of these in effect, one on either side of the roller shutter, and of course, these here are sold as key like pairs if you want to have more than just one. You can have it just on the same key. So, that's well worth knowing there.
Now, there's quite a few myriad of different types of manufacturers out there, but if this is the one that you're looking for, let's get some measurements on it, if the name is exactly what you're looking for. As you can see here, it has ILS stamped on the actual lock, as you can see there. Now, obviously, it has it also on the actual keys as well. So, that gives you an indication, then, of what particular ones that you're looking at.
It may be that you've lost the keys or you need to get one. If it's got ILS on it, then the chances are that it might be that this is the one that you're looking for.
So, if you've managed to get it out, and you're wanting to get some replacements, let's get some measurements on it. So, the actual barrel, this particular part here, is what I want to talk to you first about. That there, has a projection of about 33 millimetres there. The actual length of the actual bolt itself from the back of the thing there is right about 54 millimetres, maybe 55 millimetres at a bit of a push.
The actual size of the oval here is 14.3 millimetres, and then that particular size is 21.57 millimetres also. The actual position of that particular bolt, that's the actual bolt itself there. So, if I was to measure that from the front to the actual centre of that bolt there, you're looking at that, guys, being around about the 26, 27 millimetres to its centre pivot point there. So, it might be well worth looking at that.
It comes standard with two keys there. That's basically how it operates. By turning the key, you throw the bolt down, it allows you to take out the actual bullet lock. Similar also, when you pop them in, it's always best to just put a bit of pressure on it there and push it in, even though that it's slightly chamfered there.
So, there you go, guys, just one of the products that we have available on our website. But listen, if you need a bit more information on this or any of the products that we have, pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have, or simply pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way, I'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So, from me, Darrel, and all of us at team, thanks for taking the time to tune in. We'll catch up with you real soon, I hope. Take care now. Bye-bye.
