Hi, guys, my name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Many thanks for taking the time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now we're putting these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer and perhaps a little bit more information, a little bit more detail than what you would expect with an image or a bit of descriptive text.
Today I want to show you a brand new exciting invention that Squire Security have brought out. The idea is that this particular type of locking solution is allowing you to compliment the type of security that you may have on your garage door. Here is the actual product here; it's the Garage Guard, they're calling it. Now the idea is that if you've got a typical type of garage door where you put a key into the centre and you operate the handle, and you turn it and you lift the garage door open this is what this particular product is designed to give additional strength and additional protection to.
So the idea is quite simple. What you do, in effect, is if I put that key into there, you would actually place that there over your handle that you have. This rubber sealant gets pressed up against the garage door, and by turning the key you then are able to lock the handle within this protective device here. Therefore, you're not only purely relying on the key in the centre of the actual garage door handle, but now this is actually protecting the whole of the handle itself, therefore giving you that little bit more maximum security.
The actual instructions actually help me try and explain it perhaps a little bit better - I don't know if you can actually zoom in close enough there. At the top there, you see a typical type of handle there that you would expect to see on a garage door, and then down on the bottom corner there, you'll see then that the measurements - don't know if you can zoom in enough to get those measurements there - but that gives you an idea of the measurements. They have the maximum measurements of the handle. I'm sure that Squire have thought long and hard about this, as to what the measurements would be, and have built this lock to accommodate at least the majority, I would suggest.
So, there you go, guys. It gives you the opportunity to see this product in the flesh; quite a weighty product, obviously well designed. You can see here a lot of strength in the metal, etc, and obviously this rubber gasket around the side as well is going to be then designed to last a considerable time. It's obviously a forged casing, as you can see here, and the keyway as well is quite unique in as much as there's quite a few tumblers to give you good security if you're trying to manipulate that lock. Comes as standard the two sets of keys as you can see there.
So, just to reiterate, the idea is quite simple, is that get's rotated out of the way, you place that over the handle like that, you turn that like that, you pull the key out, and now that's in lock now onto the actual garage door to assist with the security on the handle. The keys won't come out whilst it's in the unlocked position; you have to lock it back before you can allow the keys to go out so therefore then you can make sure that's it's secured onto the handle before you are able to take the keys away.
So there you go, guys, that's just one of the products that we have on our website, but if you need a bit more information on this or any of the products we have, pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have or simply do it the old fashioned way - pick up the phone, give us a call. Either way, we'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as as one of our customers.
So from me, Darrel, and all of us at the team, take care, and we'll catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye.
