Illuminated External Gate Release Button

Designed for use with external gates, this momentary gate release button features NO/NC outputs and green / red illumination which will change colour as you press the button, for visual feedback of the activation which many buttons lack.   

The unit is supplied with a standard single gang pattress box, so can be flush fitted straight into your wall / pillar if you have a single gang recess, or alternatively we also offer a surface mount housing as an optional extra allowing you to surface mount the unit to your gate pillar or wherever you plan on fitting the release button.  

The button is rated to IP67, meaning it is perfectly suited to outdoor use; however please note that this rating is for the button itself, and you would still need to ensure your wiring in the pattress box is protected from water ingress (top tip - in addition to protecting from ingress, it's usually a good idea to ensure there is also a drain point in the bottom of the unit, so that should any water find its way in, it can drain out rather than get trapped inside).

In terms of wiring, this switch features three wires for the illumination (red = +12/24vDC for red light, green = +12/24vDC for green light, black = -0vDC), and three wires for the switching aspect (white = common, blue = normally closed, black = normally open), as seen in the photos.   

Important note: The switch is rated to a maximum load of 2Amps @ 12/24v DC.    For switching your devices such as gate operators / motors etc we advise making use of a handy relay (or timer relay depending on your requirements) - both are listed as a "you may also need" item on the page.
