The Union 2D Waterloo latch is part of the old Wellington range, and has been kept alive due to its high demand in retrofit applications.
If you have a broken 2D Latch then you wont find much that will perfectly retrofit other than a direct replacement - which is right here!
In keeping with the original design, UNION have maintained the aluminium latch and aluminium faceplate, which is quite a distinct marker of the Wellington range. The tough steel roller bearing then takes the impact of hitting the strike plate.
With its dual-coiled internal latch springs, the operation of these is still exactly the same as it used to be - perfectly smooth and easy to latch.
These have a separate small deadbolt underneath the rollerbolt, which allows for the old Wellington turn & release kits to still work with these latches. Whilst they are not available to buy now, if you still have one it will still work on this lock!
As with the entire Wellington range, you will also get a 5 year guarantee on this latch!
