GEM ML210 Electro-Mechanical Door Lock

This electromechanical door lock features an angled deadlocking latch that is suitable for inward opening, outward opening and indeed double-swing doors which open both ways. 

It comes with a fail-safe / fail-secure toggle, which allows you to dictate whether or not the lock requires power to lock, or power to unlock.  This is important to consider, as if you choose fail-safe, which requires power to lock, then your door will become unlocked in the event of power failure.  This may be exactly what you need, but if not, it's more common to consider selecting fail-secure, which remains locked in the event of power failure.   This of course means nobody will be able to open the door however, so which ever route you choose, it is considered good practice (and most practical) to choose a power supply that offers a backup battery feature, and make use of it with a decent 12v battery offering plenty of Amp-hours depending on how long power outages generally last in your particular setting.

The lock has been tested to over 1,000,000 (one million) cylcles in an endurance test for the solenoid, so as far as general wear and tear goes these are certainly designed to last through a lot of use. 

When it comes to wiring these up, you can choose anything between 12 and 24v on DC or AC - so you've got a lot of diversity there when it comes to integrating these into existing systems.  You then have monitored outputs from the lock itself, giving you the ability to monitor the lock status from a monitoring station or something more simple such as a buzzer or light etc if that's all you need.
