Locksonline Firelock Electric Lock

The new re-launched version of the FIRELOCK from LocksOnline offers high quality, fail safe locking with the important feature of operation under side-load.

The Firelock's key feature is the elimination of side load of up to 100KG affecting the release of the door in an emergency.

The LocksOnline Firelock is a high performance and versatile lock fail safe lock which is designed for use specifically on fire doors. These can also be used on any door that requires a Fail Safe lock, such as communal exits or other doors which may be require emergency access.

The Firelock has achieved European accreditation to NFS 61-937 which lays the foundations for the upcoming European Standard for electronic exit devices on escape routes EN1154/55.

The Firelock?s key feature is the elimination of side load (up to 100Kgs) affecting the release of a door in the event of a panic situation. This makes it unique to other solenoids and shearlocks on the market which suffer from side load pressure causing the locking mechanism to jam. Usually a maglock is the only form of locking generally accepted by fire standards, but when a more concealed solution is necessary, normal solenoids and shearlocks do not make the grade.
