With a total of three bi-directional hook bolts when including the centre gearbox hook, these locks offer a total of 7 locking points including the roller cams.
Unlike the offset models, these locks have a straight spindle setup at a 92mm PZ centres measurement.
With many design elements incorporated from the very popular Crimebeater SL16 lock, including PAS24 accreditation, the XL models introduce an additional hookbolt at the centre gearbox instead of a deadbolt, as well as two anti-lift bolts for added protection against jemmying, and then also four additional rollers designed to strengthen the hold into the keeps, as well as ensure a good firm seal on the door to minimise draughts and other sealing gap issues.
Also, as this is part of Fullex's XL range of Crimebeater locks, these are fully compatible with the range of Fullex extension strips and high security shootbolts, which allows them to be used on French doors and other double-door setups, all fully capable of meeting the requirements of PAS24.
This particular model is
designed with straight 92mm PZ centres for standard lever style handles, with a 35mm backset, and is situated on a 16mm rail so is
clear to see that these are more widely used on uPVC doors (the typical
plastic front doors we see a lot in the UK).
