Much like the standard 2-hook nightlatch facility multipoint lock, this later version offers the same distinct advantage of the split spindle functionality, however it offers more rigid security thanks to the introduction of two additional locking points in form of roller cams.
Roller cams alone are not considered to be high security but in this case, combining roller cams on top of the security provided by the hookbolts and central deadlock, the performance of the lock is greatly improved, as it provides further locking points along the edge of the door, allowing for a much more rigid result and minimising any weak spots between locking points.
As with the earlier model, these are available of course in the standard backset sizes of 35mm and 45mm. In most cases the 35mm model is used, but in some cases of wider doors or further inset doors, the 45mm models may have been installed so best to check if you're looking to retrofit!
Using the classic 92mm PZ centres, using universal hardware such as handles etc should not be a problem with these locks, and the 92mm distance between the centre of the lever handle and the centre of the euro cylinder's barrel is adhered to by the majority of installations nowadays.
