The Milenco UPVC multipoint door lock has been designed to work on UPVC doors. These models were originally manufactured with different finishes on them, white or brown, this model is stainless steel. The PZ centre on this model is 117mm and 85mm. This split functionality allows multiple permutations in terms of interior and exterior handles or functionality. The backset on this model is 35mm. The spindle on this model is an industry standard 7mm.

An indentifying mark of these models is the fact that Milenco tend to not print their name on their products, so your multipoint lock should be blank.

This models combines hook and bolt locking mechanisms which essentially makes this model very secure at the base and top of the multipoint strip.

Handing on the Milenco UPVC multipoint door lock is easily reversed by undoing the screw found on the latch.

Hi, guys. My name is Darrel and I'm the head of tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at our product review videos. I feel like am standing up like a soldier today because I got this massive multipoint lock that's sitting by the side of me here.

It's a Millenco multipoint lock designed to go on a UPVC door. The reason why we are talking about this particular multipoint lock today is because it's a very, very unique and it's a little bit different to the norm in regards to multipoint locks. They were manufactured originally with different finishes on the floor. We got here is the stainless steel one, but if you are thinking you need to replace anything, one thing Millenco did is they never ever put their name to the front of the actual lock or anywhere on the product, so it's hard to actually establish whether or not you've got a Millenco fitted on your particular door.

One of the tell tales about that is, (a) it doesn't have a make and that's one of the tell tales. Two, they also have had a stainless steel finish like you see here, but they also had a white finish or a brown finish as well. They actually have [hand indicated] finishes which could suit the application of the door, etc. So that's well with you making some information about, so if you've got these different colours, it could be again a Millenco.

Now one of the distinct advantages with these is if you have actually have a look, look at the lockers mechanism here. We got a bolt that shoots up here and we've also got a bolt that shoots out as well. So phenomenon security that and it's a mirror all that as well at the bottom of the lock as well. They also did this particular lock as well with a roller cam, that would have sat in this screw here. This is the one that doesn't have a roller cam, but I mean you can actually have a vision of this with a roller cam that sat there as well. So if you have a roller cam version, we can get hold of that for you, no problem at all.

Now the brown and the white finishes are no longer available. It's only available in this stainless steel finish. You can actually strip all the back of the gear box off and put it on to the brown finish of the lock that you may have, should you so wish or should you want to. Now a couple of other distinct makers I wanted you to be aware of as well is, the centres here, the PZ centres between, the centre of the cylinders to the first follower to the second followers is very unique to Millenco. They are 117 mm centres, on that one and the other one there is 85 mm centres, so they're very, very unique. They're out of the norm in respect to the multipoint locking applications.

Now the reason why they've got two [formulas], it allows you to have a latch function on the outside like that of a typical Yale sort of lock if you wanted it. The outside handle would be at a different height to the inside handle.

Now, another top tip as well that we want you to be aware of and what seems to happen a lot with these particular locks, they rely on this back mechanism here. As you can see, the back of the lock here is totally enclosed and what you find is that sometimes if you try to put the screw in there and the screw is too long, it actually can force out and damage the lock at the back here and in doing so, you could actually damage it.

So a LocksOnline's top tip, if you're thinking this is the lock for you, make sure you use the right size. There's actually markings on here stating, "Don't use that screw. That's longer than 40 mm." And that's for that very reason that you don't end up destroying the back of the lock here. Real top tip there that you may need to be aware of.

The backset measurement is standard at 35 mm from there to there, and of course, the rail then again is standard universal at 16 mm. Yeah, available on our website, the Millenco multipoint lock. Great having a video, it allows you now to see the lock in the flesh, and having a look at all the different measurements. Handing, just quickly zoom in there again, simple handing. Just turning the screw there, pull this out, turn it around, screw it back in, and you can change the handing on this particular lock, no problem at all.

But listen, guys, if there's some bit of information here that I haven't mentioned and you need to know a little bit more, by all means, pop over an email to us, use the live chat on our website, free to use it. You can talk to me or any of the guys here on the team. We're all quite knowledgeable on this product. Either way, we'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as a customer. So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at the LocksOnline team, thank you, take care, and catch up with you real soon. Bye-bye now. Bye-bye.
