The Imperial G4053 is an upright style latch, which effectively means it follows the same cut-out pattern as traditional sashlocks, which can be very useful for retrofitting, or even for new doors where a standard size has been cut into all the doors to allow for the use of standardised sizes of locks and latches in all the doors.
These locks are therefore available in three sizes. We have the two most popular sizes of lock cases; the 63mm and 76mm models (approximately 2.5" and 3" respectively) as well as a larger 101mm case (approximately 4 inches). And with the case height of 108mm this really is quite a universal fit for most pre-existing mortice cut-outs in doors.
As standard these are suitable for sprung door handles and knobsets, however we can also offer heavy-duty spring upgrades for use with unsprung door knobs and unsprung handles. If you're not sure you can test your handles by taking them off the door and seeing if they are self-sprung or just floppy when not fitted.
We have six beautiful finishes available for these latches; standard finishes are satin brass and satin stainless steel, and then we also have polished brass and polished stainless steel, as well as the stunning satin black and antique bronze finishes.
If you have a set of rebated double-doors, you can use these by adding a suitable rebate kit to your order, allowing for use with that rebated lip on the slave door.
Please be aware that the Imperial Locks range is manufactured to order for you specially - so please allow additional time for these to be dispatched!
These locks are fire-tested to BS EN 1634-1:2000
Important: These items are built-to-order specially for you and are not 'off-the-shelf' items. Therefore please allow a 2-3 week manufacturing period before dispatch. As such, these products they are deemed non-returnable so please double-check your requirements before placing your order.
