Hi, guys. My name is Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at Locks Online. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now I'm putting these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer in hopefully a little bit more detail, or in the flesh, so to speak.
So, today I want to show you a three lever union deadlock that we have on our website. This is the actual lock here, and now also the video will allow us to be able to show you exactly what comes with this lock or what comes in the box when you decide to purchase this.
Now three lever is not as secure as the five lever that we have, and it's certainly not as secure as the five lever British standard range of locks now that are more popular on the market. But these locks still have their place. For example, it might be an internal door that you want to be able to fit this on or some sort of passive security in regards to wanting to put a lock in a door.
Now also, as well with this one, even though in regards to its manipulation, there is better security out there, the actual bolt still does afford some roller cams on the inside, if you can zoom in there. Basically what that means, if you try to saw this particular bolt, once you hit one of those roller cams there, your hacksaw is going to slide over the top of it which is going to make cutting this bolt a long ordeal indeed. So it still has a degree of security in that respect.
Now it comes standard with two keys. There's the two keys there. It comes with a keep as well to allow you to fit that into the frame as well, therefore then tidying up the hole. It comes with its fixing screws there, and it comes also with two escutcheons that you can fit on either side of the door there just to tidy up the key hole once you've actually fitted the lock. Now it's available in a silver finish that you see here. It's also available in a brass finish as well, and of course it has the union stamp on the bottom.
Also, it's available in two different case sizes. This is the three inch version, but there's also a two and a half inch version which is a slightly shorter, stubbier sort of lock all together. So what I'll do is while I have this lock here, let's get some measurements for you because there's some common measurements between the three inch and the five inch, sorry, the three inch and the two and a half inch just for your info. The actual width here of the face plate is 25 millimetres. The actual fall and height there is 120 millimetres.
The actual case thickness there is you're looking there around about the 13-14 millimetres thickness there. So it probably would be okay to fit this in a standard 38 millimetre door, an internal door so to speak. Now the actual case depth, as I've mentioned before, the overall case depth there is around about 78 millimetres, and the back set of the 3 inch version there is about 58 millimetres from the center of the keyhole to the leading edge of the face there. Of course if you've got the two and a half inch version, by all means, have a look on our web site and you'll see that that there is slightly reduced.
So there you go, guys. We also have the ability to key these alike as well, so if there's a couple of doors inside your home that you want to be able to have the same key to operate them all, you know, that's not a problem at all. We can offer keying alike on these. We can also cut you extra keys as well if you decide to buy this. If you want some more keys, then lets us know and we'll pop those into the order with the lock as well.
So, listen, if you need a bit more information on this or any of the products that we have, pop us over an e-mail, use the live chat that we have, or simply pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way, we'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So thanks for taking the time, catch up with you real soon. Take care. Bye-bye.
