Ideal for use in public and commercial toilet / bathroom situations, these DDA compliant privacy lock cases offer 72mm lock centres and a fully bodied DIN style lock case. DDA requirements require that the locking centres - that's the distance between the centre of the top 8mm spindle and the centre of the bottom 5mm spindle (or keyhole for locks that use a key / cylinder) - are at least 72mm.
There are of course locks available with larger lock centres such as the common 92mm sizes mostly found on uPVC and composite doors, and then you have some others in between, however the 72mm centres have long been considered the 'norm' for commercial applications, and these DIN style lock cases offer a common template between each of the different locking options, allowing you to have one pre-set size of cut-out required in all the doors, and then you can consider the specific locking solution afterwards - there's no need to cut different sizes into each door depending on its application. This is especially useful in larger scale projects where you may have tens, hundreds or even thousands of doors being fitted.
Designed with commercial application in mind, these locks are fire-tested under BS EN 1634 Part 1 : 2000 and are performance-rated, carrying a whopping 10 year guarantee.
Six stunning finishes are also available - including the two standard finishes of Satin Brass and Satin Stainless - the most popular choices, but we can also build-to-order the following four specialist finishes: Polished Brass, Polished Stainless, Satin Black and Antique Bronze.
Please be aware that the Imperial Locks range is manufactured to order for you specially - so please allow additional time for these to be dispatched!
These locks are fire-tested to BS EN 1634-1:2000
Important: These items are built-to-order specially for you and are not 'off-the-shelf' items. Therefore please allow a 10-14 day manufacturing period before dispatch. As such, these products they are deemed non-returnable so please double-check your requirements before placing your order.
