Ideal for doors you simply want to push or pull open without using handles, this heavy duty rollerbolt type mortice latch is the perfect solution for airing cupboards, the 'under-the'stairs' door or built in wardrobes using standard thickness doors.  Not forgetting their suitability for double-swinging doors, which open both ways.  On this type of door a normal latch would not work as they are only bevelled on one-side of the latch, but with a rollerbolt mechanism, the door can be opened and closed both ways if that's the type of door you have.

This British-built latch mechanism features a heavy duty spring, which is ideal for door seeing a high volume of traffic, so can be used on doors that are being used all the time.   However, we do offer the option of down-grading the spring strength to light-duty.  This is normally not necessary but if you have a lightweight door where you feel a heavy duty spring may not be suitable (due to the force you'd need to apply to push the rollerbolt into the keep), then you can opt for the spring to be changed for you to a lightweight spring prior to dispatch.

It is worth noting however, that the tension on the rollerbolt is adjustable.  If you take a look at the photos you'll see an up-close shot of the back of the latch case.  You will see here that there is a bolt-head that allows you to tighten or loosen the spring on the roller catch, to offer more or less tension.

Available in six different finishes as with the majority of the LocksOnline Imperial range, we are able to offer four specialist finishes of Satin Black, Antique Bronze, Polished Stainless Steel and Polished Brass - this is of course in addition to the standard Satin Brass and Satin Stainless Steel.

While it is not necessarily 'the norm', we realise that some scenarios may also warrant a rebate kit for these, so we are glad to be able to offer a range of all three sized rebate kits for this rollerbolt catch too.  So if you have a set of rebated double doors which you want to be able push and pull open rather than operate a handle, then we can supply the rebate kits to suit these latches.

Please be aware that the Imperial Locks range is manufactured to order for you specially - so please allow additional time for these to be dispatched!

These locks are fire-tested to BS EN 1634-1:2000
