Hi, guys. My name is Darrel, and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline.co.uk. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a look at one of our product review videos.
The product that we have here at the moment is the Adams Rite. It's the MS2200 Hook-bolt or Dead-bolt version that's designed to be used on aluminium doors. Here's the actual product here. Now, you may find on shops and so forth, you think of aluminium or steel type doors. They're actually made of aluminium. And these are the types of locks that are indicative to these particular type of applications. You will find them mostly on commercially built buildings and so forth, and in shop fronts, etc. This particular version here is we have the hook-bolt version, but it also comes in a flat blade version as well.
One of the little secrets about these, not a lot of people know that. You think to yourself, well how can anybody saw through there and open the door if you got a set of double doors, etc. But believe it or not, there's actually mica build inside these. Not many people are aware of that, and if you are if actually tried to drill down mica is so hard, that the actual blade will run over it and you'll be there hack-sawing for a month of Sundays. You'd never get through it.
So this particular version, they did it. Adams Rite is the manufacturers. They do a range where you get the screw-ins on this, but this one here, obviously takes a Euro cylinder as you can see there. This is an actual Euro cylinder, and I got one here just to show its operation. If I throw that back there, that's basically how it works. It's a very, very simple, but very effective type of mechanism. All right. So that's the basic operation there.
Now, what I'll do is, I'll get you some quick little measurements here, so that if you think these are ideal, just what I want where I'm replacing one, and these measurements are helping then making a more informed decision as to whether or not this is actually the product that you're looking for.
So with my ruler I get you the case depth there, and the case depth is 40 millimetres. The case height there is 160 millimetres. The case width there is 60 millimetres. The forend length from top is 195 millimetres, and the fixing centres there, I'm going to be putting them around smidgen around about 180 millimetres there guys.
What I'll do also, I'll get that bolt out to give you an idea of the projection of the bolt. If I can fit that in there a second. Okay, that's throwing that out there. The projection of this particular bolt right to the end is just a smidgen under 25, 24 millimetres. That gap there, for your information, it's about 15 millimetres there to the start of that blade there. So that gives you some idea in regards to the size of the hook there.
So there you go, guys. Like I said, manufactured by Adams Rite. They're an American company. They've been around a long time in the industry, as long as I have, if not longer to be honest with you. Yeah, and it's available on our site, LocksOnline.co.uk. Listen, if you need a bit more information though, or you're not 100% sure, you need to know how does that work, or something like that, look, pop on the live chat. That's totally free. You can talk to us through the day, talk to me or any of the guys in the sales team. We're all pretty knowledgeable on this particular product. Or you can use email. Whichever suits you. More importantly for us, we'd love to see you as a customer. That would be really great for us. So from me, Darrel, and all of us here at LocksOnline team, thanks for taking the time to having a look at this video. Catch up with you real soon. Take care now. Bye, bye.
