Hi guys, my name is Darrel and I'm head of the tech team here at LocksOnline. Thanks for taking some time to tune in and have a quick look at one of our product review videos. Now we're putting these short little videos together to be able to give you, our customers, the opportunity to see the products that we have to offer, hopefully a little more detail in the flesh, so to speak.
So part of our marine range, we have a nice little barrel bolt here that we have available on our website. Its part of the marine range, it's got a chrome plating all over it. The actual steel is a cast steel, but is actually incredibly well coated in regards to a chrome plating as you can see here, which obviously lends itself to be better for the slightly salty environment that you may get in a marine application.
Obviously, we recommend that you keep it clean. You can actually use car polishes and so forth, in which case that helps stop the debris and the salt staying on it all the time. It's obviously ideal for internal use, no problem at all.
Now as you can see here, it comes as well with its keep, and there you go. So that's how it would actually be fitted there, and allows you to be able to pull this bolt back and drop it into that position there, as you can see. So, nothing really fantastic to say about it. It is basically a bolt that's designed more for marine applications than anything. Now, bear in mind, it doesn't come with its fixings, so you may want to consider getting yourself some fixings for this depending on what you're trying to screw it on with.
But once I've got it here now, let's have a look at the measurements for you. So the overall size of the bolt there is about 66, maybe 67 millimetres. The actual width of the bolt there is 30 millimetres. And the fixing centres across here from the leading edge, to give you some sort of idea, the first screw hole is 10 millimetres, and then to the second I'm measuring in at about 53 millimetres there. I'm sure you can see zoom in and you can see that there, no problem at all.
So of course then you've got this particular part here, which is the keep. And again we've got fixing centres there off around about 22 millimetres, and the actual depth of that there is around about 21 millimetres. And of course it's the same there at 30 millimetres as it would be on the actual bolt itself. So, there you go guys. It's a barrel bolt, a chrome plated barrel bolt. It's available on our website.
But listen, if you need a bit more information on this, or any products that we have, just pop us over an email, use the live chat that we have, or simply do it the old fashioned way and pick up the phone and give us a call. Either way, we'd love to hear from you, and more importantly, we'd love to see you as one of our customers. So from me, Darrel, and all of us at the team, thanks for taking the time to tune in. We'll catch up with you real soon, I hope. Take care now, bye-bye.
