Achieving compliance with Secured by Design, PAS23 and PAS24, this multipoint lock by ERA is a simple yet high security multipoint locking solution for your uPVC doors. These plastic doors can flex quite a bit more than standard wooden doors, so it is important to have a good multipoint lock that offers adequate security for your requirements.
PAS23 / PAS24 and Secured by Design are all standards designed to create a complete, strong and secure door setup - and while no lock on its own can achieve this (because it has base requirements for the door itself, the hinges and the frame etc), using a lock that has been certified to be used on these solutions is a good yard-stick for gauging the quality of the lock. Needless to say, this range of ERA locks fits the bill!
With two bi-directional hookbolts at the top and bottom of the door, as well as a solid brass deadbolt at the centre gearbox which throws a complete 22mm when locked, this lock offers an all-round solid multi-point security solution for your front door. The bi-directional hooks shoot out-and-up at the top whilst shooting out-and-down at the bottom, preventing any jemmy attacks or similar.
The split-spindle functionality allows you to use split-spindle door furniture (or indeed replace the spindle on any door handles with a pair of split spindles), allowing you to take full advantage of the benefits of split-spindle operation.
Designed with a 45mm backset, and 92mm PZ measurements; this is a very popular size lock and will retrofit a wide range of existing installations.
